Alan Crowther
CEO
Alan Crowther is CEO of ALSCG, responsible for overseeing all company operations. He brings 20 years of consulting and technology experience with him to the position. Alan has previously held roles as the founder of Adjility Health, a firm focused on Life Sciences analytical software; Vice President at Capgemini; Co-founder and Officer at Adjoined Consulting, where he ran the Life Sciences practice and was part of the leadership of the venture-backed company and helped drive it to a successful $200MM+ exit.
Prior to Adjoined, Mr. Crowther was head of services for a small software company that exited to BEA Systems; and was a manager at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) before that. He is a graduate of Princeton University.
Charles Warczakowski
CFO
Mr. Warczakowski is ALSCG’s Chief Financial Officer with over 30 years experience in finance. Mr. Warczakowski most recently was CFO for Sela2, Inc., a pharmaceutical software and consulting services company, where he managed the successful private equity buyout of the company in 2010.
Prior to Sela2, Inc., Mr. Warczakowski was CFO for Dendrite International, a pharmaceutical sales force automation (SFA) software and services company, where he managed the successful IPO of the company in 1995. Mr. Warczakowski also held various financial positions during a twelve-year period with Gulf & Western. Mr. Warczakowski holds a B.A. in Accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University.
James Morgenstein
CTO
Mr. Morgenstein provides technology leadership to ALSCG for software engineering, operational infrastructure, and software technology service delivery. James brings more than 20 years of experience executing software build and deployments for both private, public, and mixed private/public deliveries via technology analysis, delivery, and operations spanning the range of organizations from startups of less than 10 employees to organizations of thousands.
Mr. Morgenstein has held previous leadership roles as the Chief Technology Officer at Adjility Health building a portfolio of healthcare focused software products, Chief Technology Officer at Adjility Group responsible for technology service delivery of software implementations, MC at Curam Software implementing the Curam Social Enterprise Management Suite, Director at Adjoined Consulting (acquired by Kanbay, acquired by Capgemini), VP Technology at Digital Demographics responsible for software delivery and hosting operations, and Senior Manager at Accenture.
Mr. Morgenstein holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Matt Arellano
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Matt is responsible for directing all of Alliance’s business development activities across the Life Sciences Industry. In addition, Matt manages the relationships with software partners. He joined Alliance in 2008 as a Senior Account Executive and was subsequently promoted to his current position in 2012.
Prior to Alliance, Matt worked at HCL Technologies, where he was successful in developing large-scale multi-year outsourced solutions for the Pharmaceutical Industry. His Life Sciences experience spans the entire drug lifecycle and further incorporates the Medical Device, Clinical Research Organizations and Payers markets. Matt has over 10 years of experience managing and selling into the Fortune 500 Global 1000 Market. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a B.S. in Psychology and a Minor in English.
Doug Rimerman
Vice President, Sales
Doug Rimerman has over 10 years of experience working in Information Technology Consulting. He joined Alliance in 1998 as a sales representative and has been instrumental in expanding Alliance’s footprint in the Philadelphia market. Doug is currently Vice President of Sales and is responsible for managing a strategic account and also developing strategies to grow Alliance ’s business across the Consumer Industry.
Doug was previously a National Account Manager with Paymentech where he was responsible for sales for the Eastern region. Prior to Paymentech, Doug was a Senior Account Executive for NCR Corporation. Doug is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.
Michele Cackowski
Vice President, Human Resources & Recruiting
Michele Cackowski has over 15 years of experience in the Consulting and Software industry. She is currently responsible for overseeing the recruiting, sales support and human resources functions of Alliance Life Sciences Consulting Group.
Prior to joining Alliance in 2004 Michele was a Recruiting / Consulting Services Manager for Knowledge Partners Inc. (KPI) and a Sr. Recruiter for Spectrum Technology Group / CIBER, Inc. Michele also held an HR Management position for Computer Associates (CA) focusing on recruitment, employee relations, employee care and acquisition integration.
James Burke
Senior Vice President, Contracting
As Senior Vice President, Jim Burke is ultimately responsible for the planning and delivery of all projects within Alliance’s Contracting and Pricing Solutions Practice. He also is charged with building alliances with software vendors and complementary service providers to strengthen Alliance’s ability to bring the best-in-class solutions to their clients.
Jim joined Alliance in 2004, bringing with him an extensive background in contract management, including experience from contract management systems implementation projects at over ten life sciences companies. Since joining, Jim has expanded the practice to virtually all of Alliance’s pharmaceutical clients, with projects ranging from managed support initiatives to custom solution development and business intelligence projects. Jim has over 8 years of experience working with Pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to joining Alliance, he was a Director in I-many’s Professional Services organization. He is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ with a B.S. in Technology Management.
Mohan Purushothaman, PhD
Executive Vice President, Pricing
Mohan leads the pricing, reimbursement and Market Access practice at Alliance. Prior to joining Alliance, he was the former head of contracts and pricing at Roche Pharmaceuticals. In this challenging assignment, he guided the development of pricing strategies for new products and contracting strategies for a number of products. His experience at Roche covered a wide range of activities ranging from strategic pricing to tactical contracting. He was also CEO and founder of Net Margins, Inc., a pricing and reimbursement consulting firm, for five years before merging it with Adjility which subsequently merged with Alliance.
Mohan holds a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University where his research focused on generic entry and impact on pharmaceutical prices. He was a Takemi fellow at Harvard University where he worked on Intellectual Property Rights within the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to that, he was a senior Civil Service Member in the Government of India for over 10 years. He holds degrees in Science as well as Law.
Derek Evans
Practice Leader , Commercial Analytics
Derek has over 20 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry. In that time, he has gained expertise in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management (MDM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions. Derek also has experience with Sales and Marketing systems and business processes including Sales Reporting, Customer Analytics and applications such as Territory Management, Sample Management and Incentive Compensation.
Derek comes from Daiichi-Sankyo and Cegedim Dendrite, and joined Alliance in 2010 to further expand their capabillites in the Information Management space. He is a graduate of MacQuarie University in Australia with a B.S. in Computer Science.
John Gresko
Vice President, Commercial Applications
John Gresko has over 20 years of experience in constructing Information Technology Solutions, specifically Project Management/System Development/IT Consulting in the Pharmaceutical/Consumer Product industries. He joined Alliance in 2005 as a Solutions Architect and has been instrumental in delivering solutions in several strategic accounts. John is currently Vice President of Application Services. Over his career, John has been rewarded with increasing responsibility in IT system development, people management, project management, client management and solution sales. John has successfully lead many projects, including several large projects in the Drug Discovery, Contract Management, Sales Operations and Consumer Product areas.
John was previously a Director with First Consulting Group (FCG) where he was responsible for project and people management in the Application Services Group. Prior to FCG, John was a Project Manager and Solutions Architect with Roy F. Weston, Inc. John is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science.
Sohel Shameem
Managing Director, India Operations
Sohel Shameem has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry leading large projects in on-site and offshore models. As Managing Director for Indian operations, Sohel is responsible for managing the offshore development center in Pune, India, and owns delivery responsibility of all products and consulting assignments executed out of that location.
Sohel joined the group in 2008 when he helped form the Indian operations. Sohel was previously Senior Manager at Capgemini. He led multiple accounts and large, geographically distributed development teams in excess of 400 resources. Sohel is a graduate from Amaravati University with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Computer Science.

Ken Sawyer
Mr. Sawyer is a Managing Director and Co-founder at Saints Capital. He has been selected as a member of the Forbes Midas list for several years, where he was recognized as one of the top 100 investors in venture capital globally. Prior to co-founding Saints’ direct secondary activities with Mr. Quinlivan in 2000, Mr. Sawyer was the Head of Strategic Advisory Services and Mergers and Acquisitions at Volpe Brown Whelan & Co., a privately-held investment bank focused on emerging growth companies in the technology and healthcare industries. Prudential Securities acquired Volpe Brown Whelan & Co. in December of 1999.
While at Volpe, Mr. Sawyer advised over 100 companies on strategic issues, assisted in completing over 50 M&A transactions totaling several billion dollars, assisted in completing several strategic private placements and IPOs, and reviewed and approved over 50 IPOs of internet and technology companies as a member of the Commitment Committee. Mr. Sawyer grew his department’s revenue by over eight times in his three years at Volpe Brown Whelan & Co. Prior to working at Volpe Brown Whelan & Co., Mr. Sawyer was a Partner at Colman Partners and a Principal at Colman Furlong & Co. Mr. Sawyer also has operating experience as the CFO of New Image Industries, a publicly traded digital imaging company. He also has operating experience as a founder and CEO of several small private companies.
Jerry Benison
Jerry Benison, has served on Acquiror’s Board of Directors since 2009 and as interim Chief Executive Officer of Acquiror since 2010. Mr. Benison has approximately 35 years of diverse industry experience with the primary focus on providing professional services to the Pharmaceutical industry. During his career, Mr. Benison has consulted to major global pharmaceutical companies at the CEO, CFO, and operating executive levels, developed innovative products and services, assisted major industry organizations, mentored professional staff to assume executive positions, conceived and presented thought leadership industry concepts, and consulted to professional service organizations.
Mr. Benison served as the Coopers and Lybrand (later merged to PricewaterhouseCoopers) Americas’ Leader for the Pharmaceutical industry across the various Lines of Service, and was Managing Partner of the Pharmaceutical Management Consulting practice. Mr. Benison holds three engineering degrees from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn to the PhD level.
Mike Callaghan
Mr. Callaghan provides services in connection with the Saints Capital Dakota and Saints Capital Everest Funds. Prior to joining Saints Dakota, Mr. Callaghan was a Managing Director at MDS Capital Corp, a healthcare and life science focused venture capital firm. In that capacity, he led more than 30 investment transactions in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostic, healthcare information technology and healthcare service companies.
Mr. Callaghan helped build assets under management at MDS Capital to $1 billion. Prior to MDS Capital, he held senior general management positions with a global consumer goods company. Mr. Callaghan began his career with Ernst & Young, where he became a Chartered Accountant.Mr. Callaghan received an MBA from the Schulich School of Business of York University and a BA from McGill University.
Anthony Bonelli
Mr. Bonelli has over thirty years of diversified life sciences industry experience in the commercial area, at senior executive levels, in both large pharmaceutical organizations and emerging growth companies. His experience covers a broad spectrum of the life sciences value chain to include such areas as: pharmaceuticals; biopharmaceuticals; institutional sales; managed markets; government affairs; trade relations; distribution; PBM's; GPO's; Nutraceuticals; as well as diverse customer markets. As a result of his broad experience, he has maintained an active network of valuable industry contacts.
Alan Crowther
